Tough on bacteria – easy on the budget. That’s the concept behind a new colour coded temperature kit launched by UK thermometer manufacturer, TM Electronics (TME).
The CA2005 Catering Thermometer with unique colour coded dishwasher-proof probes offers a new, low cost method of eliminating bacterial cross-contamination during food temperature testing. What is the colour coding for?
TME have developed colour coded needle probes to help reduce the risk of bacterial cross-contamination between different food groups. Each probe handle is colour coded so it can be assigned to a particular food group: RED = Raw Meat, BLUE = Cooked Fish, YELLOW = Cooked Meat, GREEN = Washed Salad/Fruit, WHITE = Bakery and Dairy, BROWN = Vegetables.
Does the colour coded CA2005 range conform to government regulations?
Whilst there are no government regulations applied to colour coding in the food and hospitality industry, TME use standard colour coding which is widely accepted.
